in Positano a few steps from the sea
A short walk from the centre of Positano through wonderful scenery will bring you to Hotel Dimora Fornillo.
It overlooks Positano’s famous beach, one of the most exclusive on the Amalfi Coast, which can be reached by a characteristic path winding down to the sea.
From the very first light of dawn, when the rising sun colours the rocks and is reflected in the emerald sea, until the evening when the moon appears and casts its silver path upon the water... the show goes on!
Behind the Hotel Dimora Fornillo, and about half way up the 1400m Monti Lattari (Lattari Mountains), trekking lovers will find the famous “Walk of the Gods”.
A typical stairway lined with trees and natural vegetation takes you to Fornillo beach (about 220 steps).
From Fornillo beach a wonderful walk takes you to Spiaggia Grande, the main beach in the centre of Positano. Here you can board a ferry to Amalfi, Salerno, Capri, Sorrento or Naples.
You will be within walking distance of a host of restaurants, bars and shops. Take the time to browse the stores, especially the famous Moda Positano fashion shops and explore the world class local crafts outlets. The hotel is located in the pedestrian area with paid parking available about 200 metres away (about 130 steps).
